The project Heat Highway was officially launched with a kick-off in mid-March. Under the consortium leadership of the Energieinstitut of Johannes Kepler University Linz 17 partners from industry and research are working on the transformation of the Austrian energy system.

NEFI number of the month: 3. In the framework of the NEFI_Lab a concept for a physical laboratory infrastructure was implemented which is designed to develop technologies and promote cross-sector cooperation and is at the disposal of the consortium members of the NEFI Innovation Network.

The AIT Center for Technology Experience is looking for participants for a user study. This is carried out online via web conference system and takes about 90 minutes. Interested parties should work in the field of industrial production (e.g. site management, energy officers, production management, innovation management).

The purpose of the NEFI showcase region is to strengthen the innovation potential in the field of “decarbonization of industry”. Since financing and funding instruments are a central element for the implementation of innovation projects, a so-called “Open Cycle” has been established for this topic. Questions concerning research and innovation funding and various other financing instruments will be answered with reference to the technological maturity of the planned project (TRL level).
