The Seccon facility within the NEFI project TCP_to_Industry has commenced its test operation

As part of the NEFI project TCP_to_Industry, the pilot operation of a patented process for the processing of secondary raw materials has commenced.

The test facility was officially inaugurated on November 21, 2023. Project partner Seccon installed the first "Small-scale demonstrator" at the Pettenbach Technology Center. This enables the examination of various input materials on an industrial scale. In the test facility, among other things, aluminum and bio-fertilizer can be recovered from used coffee capsules.

The NEFI project Heat Highway wins the Upper Austrian State Prize for Innovation

FutureDays 2023: The camp for young creative minds at the Energy Systems Lab

The FutureDays 2023 of the Chair of Energy Network Technology at Montanuniversität Leoben were held under the motto "Get Climate-Fit Yourself!". A diverse program awaited the participants:

In addition to engaging workshops and lectures on renewable energies, excursions were planned as well as a lot of fun in the leisure activities. Furthermore, research was conducted in the NEFI Energy Systems Lab of the Chair of Energy Network Technology.

Forum Aluminium: NEFI expert Christoph Zauner presents groundbreaking NEFI solutions for green foundries

OÖ EDISON Innovation Award goes to NEFI project idea

The "Seccon Process," developed as part of the NEFI project's TCP_to_Industry, achieved first place in the innovation category and received a special prize in the sustainability category at the competition.

Industry4Redispatch - First Research Results Presented

CE4T - Clean Energy for Tourism: Project Successes

The approach of "Clean Energy for Tourism" (CE4T) is the integrative, systemic optimization of the three central areas: power supply systems, electricity markets, and major consumers in the tourism industry.

The aim of the project was to advance decarbonization in ski resorts. On the one hand, this was achieved through the development and practical testing of optimization algorithms, associated interfaces, and an ICT framework for maximum energy efficiency. On the other hand, it was accomplished by utilizing all flexibility options and enhancing the integration of renewable energies.

Sustainable Milestone: Europe's Greenest Brick Production is Being Established in Uttendorf
