The NEFI Technology Talk "Photovoltaics for Busineses" of the OÖ Energiesparverbandes on May, 16th, 2024 in Linz was dedicated to technology innovations and new solutions for operational PV systems.
The event had 114 participants and offered a overview of the market, news concidering research, successful projects as examples and information on current funding opportunities.
Dr. Jan-Bleicke Eggers, Fraunhofer ISE, presented PV innovations for businesses and Univ. Prof. Dr. Markus Scharber, JKU, presented new materials for high-performance solar cells. The NEFI activities were explained by Ms. Christiane Egger, OÖ Energiesparverband, together with other support offers for businesses. Current projects from Austrian research and an overview of PV value creation in Austria and Europe were also part of the agenda.
The second part of the event consisted of examples of large-scale operational photovoltaic systems implemented. This ranged from roof-integrated systems to Agri-PV and communal PV systems for several businesses to the presentation of one of the largest PV parking lot roofs in Austria. Lively discussion during the subsequent exchange showed the strong interest of all participants.
