NEFI – Community grows with the Expert Industrial Board

On November 13, 2020 the kick-off of the NEFI-Industrial Board (IB) took place online with representatives of the Austrian industry and energy sector. Eleven companies accepted the invitation to actively participate in the NEFI community.

At the virtual table, the strategic ambitions of the companies about decarbonization were presented and intersections with the NEFI innovation fields were identified. The workshop also revealed that the companies are already intensively engaged in this area and have already developed or designed strategies for decarbonization, energy efficiency and renewable energy supply.

But up to now, a platform for the mutual professional exchange between companies and research has been missing. The NEFI Industrial Board can now close this gap to jointly advance the issue of decarbonization and the transformation of the industrial energy system.
