Review: Industrial Energy Efficiency Conference at the WSED

The energy crisis is putting industrial production under pressure. Transforming industry quickly is imperative for economic survival. The Industrial Energy Efficiency Conference on 2nd March 2023 in Wels presented policies and technologies that support the transition to net-zero industries. It was part of the annual international conference World Sustainable Energy Days with over 650 experts from 60 countries, organised by the OÖ Energiesparverband.

The conference started with the session 'Accelerating the industrial transition' followed by the 'Innovation platform for the industrial transition' placing emphasis on innovations, pathways, and technology options to fast-track the transformation. Finally, the session 'Inspiring examples from and for the industry' shared success stories and showed how companies are taking action and leading the way in the industrial energy transition. The Head of the NEFI_Lab Thomas Kienberger presented successful NEFI solutions.

The next Industrial Energy Efficiency Conference takes place on 7th March 2024 in Wels/Austria.
