The future belongs to young, creative minds who are passionate about renewable energies and sustainable solutions!
From September 4th to 9th, 2023, the inspiring summer camp "FutureDays 2023" organized by the Chair of Energy Network Technology at Montanuniversität Leoben took place. With the motto "Get climate-fit yourself!", this camp offered young research enthusiasts an exciting glimpse into the topic of renewable energies.
At the heart of the NEFI Energy Systems Labs, participating young individuals could experience firsthand how researchers work on innovative solutions for the deployment of renewable energies and the provision of sustainable heating. They had the chance to learn from and deepen their own enthusiasm for the energy transition from experts in the field.
The program of FutureDays 2023 consisted of a variety of workshops and informative presentations, keeping the participants informed about the latest developments in the field of renewable energies. But the camp went a step further. The young minds were encouraged to research in teams and develop creative solutions on how renewable energies can be cost-efficiently and energy-efficiently implemented in households. The idea behind this is clear: if we can individually contribute to climate neutrality, the overall impact will be all the more positive.
Apart from the scientific activities, the camp also offered excursions in the Leoben area and leisure activities, enabling the participants to build valuable connections and exchange ideas with (future) fellow students who share the same passion for forward-thinking and sustainable ideas.
The FutureDays 2023 were an inspiring week full of learning, discovery and networking for young talents aspiring to shape the future in the field of renewable energies.
