Innovation process
In the NEFI_Lab innovation process, challenges for the decarbonisation of the industrial energy system are identified and solutions are developed.
Thereby, the focus is on the involvement of industry, technology developers, energy providers, research institutions, politics and the public. The innovation process is open to all interested parties and is supported via e.g. workshops, webinars, interviews and bilateral discussions.
Two formats support this process: Open and Project Cycles
The identified issues and ideas are elaborated in thematic Open Cycles or in concretely defined Project Cycles. The Open Cycle thrives on the active involvement of stakeholders, thematic discussions and the identification of challenges. The Project Cycle is about drafting and preparing a project submission to a current call of the Energy Model Region or to other national and international funding calls supported by NEFI.
