Our Goal within the NEFI Technology Talks

The global innovation landscape offers an excellent basis for the development of innovative solutions to achieve the desired climate goals. Since numerous research projects on the use of new sustainable technologies are in full swing, we now want to take the next step: At the NEFI Technology Talks, national and international efforts in the context of selected industrial decarbonization topics are brought together, findings and results are synthesized and synergies are formed in order to use them for further developments and to drive them forward.

At a time when it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain a balance between the constantly growing demand for energy and the urgent need for a sustainable, renewable energy supply in our electricity grids, Austria is facing a significant challenge. Against this background, we cordially invite you to the NEFI Technology Talk "Stable power grids despite fluctuating energy generation", which will take place this time as part of the Zukunftsforum Oberösterreich (= Future Forum of the region Upper Austria).

This NEFI Technology Talk will focus on innovative solutions to the above-mentioned challenge. The experts we have invited will talk about the importance of integrated energy grids, industrial redispatching, thermal energy storage and the role of efficient energy storage. These technologies play a crucial role in enabling a 100% green electricity supply. Their research and implementation are of crucial importance for the future energy infrastructure.

Finally, we would like to invite you to take part in the discussion on "NIMBY (not in my backyard) and the challenges of volatile generation in Austria's electricity grids". Here you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts from research and industry and discuss possible solutions together. Your participation and contribution will be invaluable to us as we work together towards a sustainable and stable energy future.
